South Hill Park DMC school projects a great success

-

Martin Franklin from the UK South Hill Park Digital Media Centre runs school projects using iStopMotion. "I just wanted to tell you what a success it's been. We've had five 3 day sessions with local schools so far, combining a day of stop motion with 1/2 day of music making in Apple's Soundtrack app and the schools just go wild for the results we've been getting. The main thing we find is that the students learn and understand the software so quickly, they can focus on their creativity and creating their animations, rather than the computer." The DMC's website has a quick story about the Edgbarrow School Claymation Project as well as the movies "Blob City" and "Machine of Time" which were created by the students during the workshop.

R*O*B*O*T*S

-

"R*O*B*O*T*S", produced with iStopMotion by SLIPMODE Ltd. for the London music club "Kill All Hippies", is projected on 20x10 foot (6x3m) screens throughout the venue, to about 800/1000 people each month. The project is stop frame animation against green screen, composited against live action with motion graphics.

'Kill All Hippies' is London's premier monthly dirt fuelled music club held at legendary venue Scala, Kings Cross London. Hosted by Eddy Temple-Morris from XFM (London's most influential independent station), Kill All Hippies was conceived as a hybrid rock night with appeal beyond the boundaries of the more indie led club scene.
