BoinxTV gurus Basti and Tino launched their new podcast bitnapping.tv in english last month. bitnapping.tv features one power user tip per episode. The presenter - Basti and Tino take turns - stands in front of a greenscreen and demos the tip on a MacBook Pro. The screen of the MacBook Pro is captured via a Blackmagic Intensity HDMI input card which is connected to the DVI output of the MacBook Pro. The "Picture in Picture" Layer of BoinxTV is used to display the presenter in front of the video. The layer can shrink the presenter out of the way to the bottom of the video so the audience has an unobstructed view of the action on the MacBook Pro screen.

"I wanted to submit the film that my 2nd grade class developed and created... While it is not edited flawlessly I think it's pretty amazing for students who are 8. Students worked in groups of 2 on different parts of the film students worked together demonstrating team work, communication, timing and art skills to create this master piece. Students use clay in primary colors in order to create it. Students demonstrated their knowledge of the stages of the life cycle of a butterfly including details such as eatting the egg, and staying in it cacoon for 3-5 days ( for a painted lady)"

MORPHMATION COMPETITION FINALIST - "Nice, imaginative title sequence. Its a good, classic Morph and Chas set-up, and well put together in terms of shot-choice and story structure. The final punch line while good is perhaps a little too hurried. The characters are a little off-model in being rather thin, but the phosing (as we used to call his transformation into a blob) is spot-on." - Peter Lord"

Chris Pirillo this week issues his 6th community challenge. He posted a green screen video of himself and asks you to add whatever you come up with so that what he says in the video makes sense. Of course, with BoinxTV you can not only add an interesting background, you can make it look like it is a professional TV show, with crawl, lower thirds, overshoulder and so on. View Chris's challenge on YouTube, download the movie from blip.tv and get going. You can add the video as a source in BoinxTV and apply the green screen filter to it.
