This week, Derrick tells you how iMovie is a great tool for recording voiceover tracks that you can add to your slideshows created in FotoMagico.

Ah, the names. "FotoMagico" is the result of a naming contest we hosted back when we first introduced the application. "Boinx" happened one night in 1996 when we were sitting in my parents living room pondering the future of Mac Software Development...

This 11 minute show reflects the activities and achievements that happened during the 2005-2006 fiscal year. Derrick continues his Slideshow Tip series with "Use HiRes Photos for Your Zooms and Pans": "I used to resize all of my images to 640x480 before adding them to my slideshows, but that was before zooms and pans were easily included in these presentations." The Digital Story this month hosts the FotoMagico Slideshow Showcase. Here is Derrick's first tip for a great slideshow: Use Existing Signs for Titles. "Later this month I'll cover how to make graphical titles for your slideshows, but first I want to acknowledge the obvious -- taking pictures of signs and using those images to help you tell the story."
