The Magic of Having Your Software Tools Upstage Your Demo
Tuesday, February 20, 2007 - Permalink
Susan A. Kitchens (whom I know from blogger times way back...) at 2020Hindsight thinks that Mouseposé is
fabulous for software demos: people can see where the mouse is. I used it when I did the intro to podcasting session at BlogHer, and I used it this past weekend when I presented a Build A Website in a Day workshop. [...] Go get it. And you, too, can experience the magic of having your software tools upstage your demo.

"In the kind of style you'd expect on a Mac"
Friday, January 19, 2007 - Permalink
Marshal Sandler of apple-of-my-i.com uses and features Mouseposé in the screencast "Creating Screencasts on a Mac".
The first application I want to shine a spotlight on is Mouseposé. This little application actually puts a spotlight effect around your mouse pointer when you hit a special combination of keys. Mouseposé can also draw the clicks of your mouse during your presentation and highlight any keystrokes you make. This is a really easy way to let web viewers follow the action, in the kind of style you'd expect on a Mac.

MacUser: 5 Mice for FotoMagico and Mouseposé
Sunday, November 05, 2006 - Permalink
The October 06 issue of MacUser UK includes reviews by Steve Caplin for both FotoMagico 1.7 and Mousposé 2.5:
On Mouseposé he writes:"The interface is clear and easy to follow, but made even easier for new users by the addition of a 'talkthrough' button, which audibly talks you through all the features. Mousepose does exactly what's needed for the job in hand. It won't make you work faster, but it will definitely make your demonstrations a whole lot slicker." The rating is 5 of 5 mice for Mouseposé.
FotoMagico 1.7 is rated 5 of 5 mice, too: "Although there are other slide show programs, none rival FotoMagico for its ease of use, flexibility and the superb professionalism of its output. A joy to use."
Online access requires a premium account: FotoMagico and Mouseposé.

Usable Help: "unprecedented clarity"
Monday, October 02, 2006 - Permalink
Gordon R. Meyer writes on his blog "Usable Help" about Mouseposé: "The result is unprecedented clarity for any type of "watch me do this" instruction. I've found it useful even for one-on-one situations, and I suspect in the classroom it would be indispensable. [...] Help authors will also want to examine its unique "talkthrough" feature that combines Mouseposé's visual tricks with Apple's text-to-speech capability. When you activate the talk-through, the program highlights and explains its own features and functions, while you sit back, listen, and learn. A very interesting approach that's completely consist with the product itself."
