“Enjoy the excitement of creating stop motion animations (also called claymation or stop action movies) and time lapse recordings with the highly-rated iStopMotion on your iPad. Easily tell your story using inanimate objects such as toys or clay figures and bring them to life frame by frame. Share with your friends and family via camera roll, email or YouTube.”
Appletell takes a look at iStopMotion for iPad and likes what it sees

“iStopMotion has been one of the more creative and powerful video programs available for the Mac for some time now, and Boinx Software has now brought that level of fun to the iPad. At the debut price of only $4.99, iStopMotion for iPad comes with pretty much everything you need: camera overlay, instant playback, timeline, and export options that make sharing movie masterpieces with friends and family simple.
.And perhaps even better, iStopMotion for iPad works with the free iStopMotion Remote Camera, which lets movie makers use their iPhone 4/4S, iPod touch (4th generation) or a second iPad 2 to capture frames, expanding the creative possibilities. More importantly, it means you’re not stuck using the rather poor camera of the iPad 2.”

Bill Stiteler from Appletell recently posted a short video review of BoinxTV, calling it a "very intuitive program." He quickly goes through the various aspects of our tv production software, from lower thirds, to layers, logos, and tickers, and suggests that users try one of the many "extremely professional looking," BoinxTV templates. "Really, the only thing you are limited by when using BoinxTV is the video processing power of your computers' video card," says Bill. BoinxTV Studio for Mac Cuts Production Costs!
by Cara - Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - Permalink
Bob LeVitus from the Houston Chronicle had always wanted to be on television, so when he was asked to write, coproduce, and host a half-hour program known as Mac Today back in 1992, he jumped at the chance. The show was syndicated in more than 100 markets, and ran for 13 weeks. During this first brush with TV, Bob learned that creating high-quality video programming requires time, talent and money. He was bitten by the TV bug and has been thinking about doing another show ever since.
"My big problem has always been the money," says Bob. "I've got time, and I'd like to believe I've got talent. What I didn't have was a TV studio filled with all the purpose-built equipment necessary to produce a TV show." That's where BoinxTV comes in. Bob describes BoinxTV as, "a Mac application that delivers much of the functionality of a traditional TV studio at a fraction of the price. With its unique layer-based production system, BoinxTV makes it easy to create video that looks like what's on TV, be it CNN, Fox News, ESPN, HBO, or the local news."
Bob concludes his BoinxTV review by saying, "If you've ever dreamed of producing TV, BoinxTV makes it cheaper and easier than ever before." Read the complete review here!
Techradar: BoinxTV Home a Top Video Editing App
by Cara - Tuesday, August 23, 2011 - Permalink

Techradar.com recently took a look at 6 of the best cheap video editing apps for OS X - BoinxTV Home included! "Apple has always had a knack for turning a market on its head and video editing is a prime example," says Steve Paris of Techradar. "When the very first version of iMovie was released back in 1999, bundled with all iMac DV models, it introduced the idea that making home movies shouldn't be an intimidating or expensive process." Proving his claim, Steve goes on to test out 6 different video editing apps: BoinxTV Home, iMovie, MediaEdit, Moso, Premiere Elements, and YouTube Editor. Tests included everything from ease of importing clips, to editing your film, to applying effects, and finally, sharing your work. I am proud to report that BoinxTV Home fared very well, receiving three and four stars in each category, with an overall ranking of four out of five stars!
"BoinxTV Home is a different animal altogether as it attempts to emulate a live television studio: It can work with your webcam, a FireWire camera or any QuickTime-compatible video file you can throw at it, but everything is done in real-time - captured on the fly - which can be a great timesaver," says Steve. "Boinx's effects are very versatile and fun to use, and considering the fact that they all happen live, they're very impressive."

4 Easy Ways to Create Your Own Online TV Station
by Cara - Friday, August 12, 2011 - Permalink

Mac360's Rob McElfresh recently took a look at BoinxTV as a solution for creating a Mac360 video series. Here's just a sampling of what he had to say...
"Boinx does a good job of describing the video effects tools with a series of video examples on the company website. You'll need them. Video production may be digital point and click, but dozens of elements, preferences, and settings are floating onscreen at the same time, so start slowly, build a simple video, then progress to more comples productions."
"Also useful are BoinxTV's export options. Most of the QuickTime movie settings are available, as is a single-click option to upload your production to YouTube. And, it covers a wide spectrum of usage, from a simple single video source, to multiple video sources. Add a live Skype video stream to the production."
"BoinxTV is more than a fun app or toy. It's capable of serious quality production, but requires plenty of time to master..."
